Hey Chris,

Thanks for the insight. The "bleached" package effect definitely fooled me. The packages do look great. I've never been the type not to open my toys. In fact, I usually throw away the packaging. And about the 8-ball bubble... i was severely disappointed in what I found behind it. Glad you didn't have to sacrifice your packaging ;)

kenner made a neat set of ratfink toys that you may wanna check into.

Hey Trent, thanks for the input and links.

I think most people recognize the influence Ed Roth and Rat Fink have had over the years. I featured these toys simply because they are cool, freaky, weird creatures.

Not all the toys here have to be obscure, unnamed pieces of plastic ;)

Ed Roth is probably one of the biggest reasons I'm into building traditional hot rods so at first I wasn't so sure why these were weirdo toys. I had something like these when I was growing up in the 80s. But if you've never seen them, they're definitely weird as hell. I have no idea about the flowers either but I have seen pictures of rat fink with flowers before so it just got taken from there I'm sure. The bonus figures look like flying eyeballs with some extra stuff added. Von Dutch (the man, not the stupid clothes line from a few years ago) is usually credited with the flying eyeball but a lot of people have used it. Here's a couple pages on Von Dutch with brief mentions of the eyeball:

And that's not even all of it. Those're just the toy areas. There're a few more rooms and hallways full of comics and junk (unfortunately, I don't have photos of them).
