I’ve been going through your archive and all though it Madballs have been nagging on my mind. Had I seen these before? If so then when? That cartoon intro brought it all back. A friend of mind used to own some of them, and would hire out one of the video tapes (I think it was the only one the store had) and him and I would watch and re-watch the episodes over and over again.

I just randomly came across this page while trying to find out what kind of ‘madballs’ I had as a kid. I remember buying the Blood Bulge and Dirty Devil when I was like 3 or 4 from an Alco dept store in Salina, KS (which strangly enough had a quarter machine that had m.u.s.c.l.e. knock offs as you left the store). I seem to vaguely remember the packaging having a skull of some sort on it, but I can’t recall the name. I ended up getting the Ugly Ball at a flea market a few years later, but he was made with rubbery blue plastic instead of the greyish tint in your picture (a knock off of a knock off?)

Hey! I love your site, I linked over here from the Wizard board. Cool! I had a ton of madballs stuff when I was a little kid. I even sent away for the Ugly Ball from Bonkers Candy. I also remember that the trigger on the head poppers were really tricky and would sometime pop without being touched. Great Site.
