Yeah, in my last blog post, I think I intentionally left out any size comparisons just to make the toy seem that much more grand. People were always shocked when they saw the real toy. It’s pretty tiny… especially for the price tag.

I see what you mean with the vibrant colors that seem truer to the original Transformers, but luckily, I’m more drawn to these artistically and not nostalgically.

I ended up getting my sister the Optimus Mickey last year for Christmas (she’s an avid collector of all things Disney), and it’s truly impressive, although I will say, they turned out smaller than I thought they would based solely on the pictures. Your hands give a bit more perspective this time.

I think we’re going to stick with the colored versions. The minimalist style might work for you, but to me, TF has always been one of the most colorful toy lines out there, so I like to see that reflected, even if these aren’t, you know, “canon,” or whatever.

I was going to suggest Pete as a Decepticon as well. But for some reason, my brain malfunctioned and the first character that I thought of for a Decepticon was Bluto which certainly would not make sense because he is not a Disney character.
